Boycott The Simpsons

Hollywood has done it again! The Simpsons are guilty of racism! As an Eskimo, I am extremely offended by the portrayal of the Eskimo character in The Simpsons Movie (2007). She was shown as a magical outcast loner voodoo woman, which is totally offensive to the rich Eskimo culture.
I am calling for a boycott on The Simpsons. That means all Simpsons merchandise, Simpsons games, Simpsons television episodes, and Simpsons Movies. Also, if you sympathize with the Eskimo plight, you should not buy any of the products that are shown on commercials during the Simpsons television program.
Shame on you Matt Groening! Your insensitivity has offended an entire race of people! Shame on you Tress MacNeill! For lending your voice to this terrible and offensive portrayal! Shame on you 20th Century Fox! For you have overlooked this terrible racism and released it into the world!
If you are an Eskimo, or an Eskimo-sympathizer, then please join me and boycott The Simpsons and spread the word about Matt Groening’s blatant racism.

The Simpsons has poked fun at pretty much every race and nationality out there, and you seem to be ignoring the fact that most of the idiots, baddies and fall guys on the show are white Americans.
Think about it – Australians, the French, the Japanese, Italians…there’s hardly anyone who hasn’t been lightly mocked by the Simpsons. I’m English and they devoted a whole episode to taking the piss out of us. Was I offended? No. I found it very funny! (Well, not ‘very’ funny. I mean, it wasn’t a classic, but that had nothing to do with the English jokes.)
If anything, the Eskimos got off lightly. A ‘magical outcast loner voodoo woman’? Puh-lease. This is the basis of your anger? Enjoy it! It’s funny! They’re not having a go! I bet you no-one came away from that film thinking, ‘boy, Eskimos are jerks aren’t they?’, but I guarentee that there’s several people thinking that after seeing this embarrassment of a blog. At least one I can vouch for anyway…
The best thing to do is not take these things seriously and oh God, don’t start a petition! There’s nothing less attractive than a self-righteous petitionista
